"In the spring of 2006 I was on holiday in Cape Verde, and - as I always do - I have 'sacked' shops and stalls to get hold of the music of the place, difficult to find in Europe. There was a song of 2000, which I had never heard before. I do not know why but I imagined it to be sung in Italian Ornella Vanoni. So I made a free adaptation Ornella and then I tried to offer him. Two days after having sent an e-mail, the phone rings 8:30 in the morning: 'I'm Ornella Vanoni, I am very interested in the song ...'
The song was 'Good Life' ('Roda Vida' in the original text in Creole) by Teofilo Chantre. On the rest is history! " (Alberto Zeppieri)
