August 19, 2010 Dear friends and fellow Rotarians,
August is the month dedicated to the Rotary International ' expansion.
L 'Expansion has one meaning clear: to bring new members in the Club.
good intentions, of course, but who needs facts.
words, intentions are nice, but there are only restricted statements, hypothesis, theory, if not being fleshed out, transformed into concrete facts, not to render meaningless the 'commitment and the importance of being Rotarians.
From this premise comes the strong need to aim at a precise objective: the "cooptations grade , to give the club new members who have all the cards in order to give prestige to our membership.
The route is certainly difficult but not impossible. The expansion should not mean simply more Rotarians to share friendship and ideals, but that action must be necessary to increase opportunities for greater service in favor of those who are in special need.

Members who have the necessary requirements of morality, professionalism proved, availability of the service, who wish to serve and not to use our Association.
To do this you need to know more and more about Rotary. We need to let everyone know who we are and what we want to achieve, both in the territory of our relevance in the rest of the world, through the Rotary Foundation. All this giving visibility to our actions, both when we perform humanitarian initiatives of international scope, such as the eradication of polio or the Healthy water for Africa, both when we perform 'service' designed to relieve the hardships on the our territory.

E 'therefore necessary to give more visibility to what we do. Not only on the Club Bulletin or on other press Rotarians. That our results should be disclosed in larger areas, using all media.
We are now at the end of our short vacation. Our recovery of September is in keeping with what has always given value to our Rotary Service.
do good to others is at the top of our commitments. In this sense we hope that the torch in 1905 by the intrepid and forward Paul Harris will never be tarnished, but there is always more to light the progress of our Association in the truest spirit of solidarity and friendship. "
