Dear Friends and Dear Friends,

The year 2010 is now winding down and in a few days, will crown her successor in January: the year 2011.

January is the month dedicated to the RI "Rotary Awareness."
The word "awareness" means to carry out a scheme to "make it sensitive to others or had a particular problem, making them sharers inside.

Rotary, in particular, dedicating this month, intends to involve all Rotarians renewed their invitation to take on the importance of the mission given to us by Paul Harris and accepted by us at the time of our entry in the association. The objective is to make sensitive and Rotarians that those who do not belong to our association to the problems of Rotary and action.

How can we honor this commitment, involvement and motivation of our work? Certainly in many ways. First
improving the public image of our association, which has been raised by Rotary International in the leading positions in the scale of values \u200b\u200band strategic priorities that should characterize our commitment to the future.

It 'just for ourselves that we must start to improve our service Rotarian.
It is therefore essential to know at the bottom of our association. Knowledge which means "to know what is really the Rotary," and above what is its main purpose, to know what and how many instruments we Rotarians can have, how many and which are the responsibilities imposed on those who agree to join. All this must always be clear and alive in us Rotarians. Mastering the rules is the best recipe for having, in each structure, that allows the harmonious development, day after day, the maximum efficiency and effectiveness.

The update must be for the Rotary, a need that is met each year with several meetings (Assembly, Congress and district workshops, as well as international Conventions and Meetings), able to keep it updated and informed.
I think each of us, agreeing to join the Rotary, he has done not only for the pleasure of walking into the prestigious organization, but there is hope so, also supported by many other valid reasons: enthusiasm, spirit body, pride, sense of belonging, availability and desire to be useful to others.
All these are the foundations and structures of our "Rotary", which enable us to live the Rotary with emotion and joy, in the conscious belief that only "together" you can achieve "big things" in the world, as was possible with the struggle for the eradication of Polio.
great things, dear friends, we can do in our own little world, our territory. This year, as you know, we have taken steps "new" that I hope will bring great fruit not only our club but to give a reputation and visibility than ever before. The completion of the surgery for indigent almost set and ready for operation in the structure of the Capuchin Fathers of Avenue S. Martino di Oristano, with the help of Father Franco, soon to be a beautiful reality.

The other initiative, which will distribute to the poor of the city about 150 Christmas packages will be completed just starting today. We have not neglected to raise funds to find a fair amount to be allocated to the project "Polio Plus". The initiative, carried out with the Order of Doctors and the Go.Far, allowed to acquire the RF over 1,000 (one thousand Euros), while sales of the packs of Vernaccia and nougat (the 500 packs have virtually been placed in full), will flow to the Foundation further 3,000 (three thousand) Euros. It 'possible that one may, in total, reach and exceed Five thousand Euro.

What about close friends? I am very happy for these projects and I think we all are. This way we operate has also increased our visibility considerably: the city has begun to see concrete work, saw our arms and our flag on display for the first time in the square in front of our gazebo, but above all he as professionals and executives not just to open the wallet, but has seen them roll up their sleeves and work in the first person to "help out" to those less fortunate than ourselves. I think this is, indeed, a result nothing short of revolutionary!
