AGAIN AFTER THE SUMMER BREAK OUR WAY OF SERVICE! September: MONTH DEDICATED TO THE "NEW GENERATIONS"

ORISTANO September 1, 2010 Dear

,

after relaxing summer holidays, which allowed us to recharge energy, we continue our way of Rotary service, immediately putting in the pipeline projects that will characterize the new year. The Rotary year runs fast!
We have already begun work, starting from the project in later stage, see what operational as soon as the medical clinic and pharmacy for the have-nots ", under construction at the premises made available by Father Franco, Pastor Parish of the Capuchin friars in Oristano, Via San Martino.

September is the month dedicated to the Rotary New Generations (New Generations Month), or programs sponsored and organized by Rotary International in support of Youth: Interact, Rotaract, RYLA and Youth Exchange, to quote the more important.

Rotary has a lot to celebrate during the month of the new generations in September. The new generations have become the Fifth Avenue of - comes on top of domestic action, Vocational Service, Community Service and International Action as the basis for club activities, following the resolution of the Board Legislation of 2010.
The new generations are always considered very important for our Association: One must remember that in 1949 the RI Board adopted the following motto: "Every Rotarian has to set an example for young people."

Rotary is important for us to give them a good example: we build for them a future of friendship, ethics, and sense of "service" to avoid, above all, the easy self-interests that do not help anyone.
Young people need right now relevant references to the crisis of identity and status of existential unease, created by the lack of values and ideals to believe in fighting for. For young people, we Rotarians, we should not only be healthy carriers of values and principles but also men and women who know how to listen and accompany them in their choices of life. We must be able to develop a compelling dialectic between new generations and our world, that of adults, our world must be able to give new generations the spiritual security that is lacking today, while they, the youth, should have the power through the our support, the preparation and deep knowledge, to look ahead with optimism and fight for a fairer society and less selfish.
Rotary International to achieve these goals, has developed precise ways. In addition to programs and Rotaract Interact, provides young people the RYLA program that develops leadership skills and sense of civic responsibility and the Youth Exchange Program, which promotes international understanding through knowledge of new cultures. Also our club has to play its part, starting from spreading inside their world, knowledge of our Association: This can be accomplished through conferences, meetings (including schools), gazebo in the square and do not forget, through channel family: how many of our children can transmit the knowledge of Rotary and its values to their friends!
The "Rotary family," or our family, is an integral part indissoluble and programs of Rotary International and, above all, of our being Rotarians.
Paul Harris, our founder, had much at heart the problem of young people. In his writings we read: "... There would be fewer problems among people they all seek to understand each other. Certainly all should see as much as possible, the point of view of a young man, just so could be of help .... "
Dear Friends, ours is an important task: to raise awareness of Rotary for young people is not only spread our ideals but also pave the way for their entry, tomorrow, in our world in its own right, as members who will continue our work and our commitment. September
is the month dedicated to them, young people, those who contribute to Rotary and to ensure a better future of this company.
Now, the letter from our Secretary, with commitments for the month of September.
I greet you with a strong wish for the good work!
