XVI Rome Marathon: Tabanka non-profit organization run for victims of natural disasters

Rome, March 16 - Chile, Haiti, Italy, Cape Verde. The initiative is the brainchild of the association Tabanka non-profit organization, in cooperation with Ocean Caeli the first NGO based in the island of St. Nicolau which aims to promote cooperation and cultural archipelago.

It 's a term used to designate the meeting place in the villages of West Africa region where they come from the major ethnic groups that populated over three centuries the archipelago of Cape Verde. Tabanka and 'have been created by Cape Verdeans living in Italy for years, the second generation, all engaged in the voluntary sector, and from friends and lovers of Italian professionals Cape Verde Islands .
The association undertakes to contribute to the integrated development of the islands of Cape Verde and the dissemination of culture in Italy. Particularly interested in the following areas: development cooperation in Cape Verde in Italy promoting the culture of the country of origin cooperation with women in Cape Verde and Italy, the training of young second-generation immigrants, trade with the Cape Verdean diaspora, childhood and old age ', all through demonstrations, meetings, publications and multimedia publishing.
