EVOLUTION: THE FUTURE OF THE ROTARY

Oristano 03/13/2010
Dear Friends,

Raffaele Pallotta Acquapendente, one of the great "Director" in RI recent article entitled "The future of Rotary," published in the journal ROTARY (No. 1 / 2 2010), reads as follows:
"... I think our future is to predict the evolution of society in which we live to anticipate the routes to change and adapt to them the model of our club .... "
Rotary if he wants to keep pace with the times, if you like that its action is always appropriate to the social context in which it operates, it must constantly adapt their actions, measures and relating them to changes taking place.
"Rotary does not stop, can not stop, because our world is changing and we must change with it." often reminded Paul Harris.
All this means that everyone, without distinction, we are interested in the future: our and our Association.
The famous words of Groucho Marx "I am very interested in the future. And 'they'll spend the rest of my life " helped me to continue on this blog a few thoughts made last night in my club Oristano, in our weekly Rotary meeting.

Yesterday's was an important evening in many ways, but one in particular, above all others last night were introduced to the Club four new members, especially young people.
was a long time that there was a large entry way. For many springs the winding streets of 'property because of doubts, rivalries, jealousies and rivalries, great and small, had created the blocks, the "gauntlet", which was difficult to cross.
The club has paid dearly for this unnecessary detention: the average age of our members is perhaps one of the top clubs in the District, and failure to include, in time and place of young and talented members has certainly prevented the initiation of programs and projects wider.
I think it's time to restart the engines and reinvigorate the road taken over forty years ago by our founders: to monitor clean of the area to find the best solutions to our "service" Rotary.

The entry of new members, young and of both sexes, it is certainly the right way, able to bring that "change" that the same Paul Harris already at the time indicated. These are the new generation that is better suited to handle the changing world and to ensure that even Rotary exchange with it.
I was myself last night one of the "godfathers". I presented Adriana, the daughter of our founder Mario Muscas. Before presenting it to everyone I wanted to externalize personal joy for the restoration in place, consisting of the entry of a large group of new members who will then picking up the baton from us, to ensure a secure future to our prestigious Club of Oristano.

Greetings Dear Francesco, Marco, Giangiacomo, and Adriana. I am sure you will bring your experience at this club, your input will be important. Our club, which now is yours too, reinforced the new sap, and will proudly continue with renewed commitment to many years on his way to the future.

future that interests me very much. Because that's where I want to spend the rest of my life!

Mario.

Here are some pictures of the beautiful evening.
